The interesting thing about the "beaufort scale for kayakers" are the adjectives they use. They are all the way up to 47 mph+ before they use "dangerous". Imagine being out in 47 mph winds with higher gusts. Forget kayak training, you would need a psychologist. I think every kayaker alive has been out in conditions way beyond what they thought they would be in due to some misjudgment. Hopefully we learn from these experiences and don't wear them as a badge of courage.
