9 enthusiastic paddlers set out this morning on a paddle up the East River. This was a very cool paddle as the river continuously changed direction taking us under a train bridge, and a second bridge under route1. Paddling on, we passed under a 3rd bridge (I95). The river soon narrowed and we found ourselves paddling around fallen branches in a much narrowed east river. Shortly thereafter we came upon a stone bridge where we landed for lunch. Lunch was significantly enhanced by cookies supplied by Chris (Thanks so much). The almost effortless (wind at our back) paddle back was very relaxing as it became apparent that we were gifted with a 65 degree October afternoon. Thanks to Jay for posting a great paddle and all others for some most excellent company.
