Re: Monday Paddle - Narragansett Bay - 11am

Thanks - C U there.

: U.R.I. Bay Campus Launch to Narrow River/ Narragansett Beach for
: lunch and play and then back again, in the water at 11am. The
: paddle is about 10 miles round trip and is typically an
: intermediate level outing. This is an exceptionally nice area
: with lots of rocks and stuff to navigate around. If you prefer
: to avoid that sort of thing, paddling a bit offshore will yield
: an easy, but still scenic experience for most folks. The
: conditions should be pretty benign, but there are usually
: (hopefully) some waves to deal with at Narrow River/
: Narragansett Beach, often a nice surfing spot. They are often,
: but not always, avoidable. I've said it before and I'll say it
: again - Yeah, it's a little farther than usual, but it's always
: worth the trip.

: Directions - From New Haven, take Rt 95 to RI exit 3 (Route 138).
: Follow Rt 138 east to the intersection with Rt 1. Go straight
: across Rt 1, and follow road to Rt 1A. Go straight across again,
: and boat launch is at end of road.

: Directions - From Hartford, take Rt 2 east to Rt 395 North. Take
: exit 85 (Rt 138), follow signs to Rt 138 east. Follow Rt 138
: east to intersection with Rt 1, and then as above.
