Directions for Posting on the ConnYak Bulletin Boards

Each board works the same way. Users will send an email to messagemaster@connyak.org

Administrators will post your message on the appropriate board. Administrators will also delete messages when appropriate. If your post needs correction or updating then you will need to send another email.

If it is a simple change, such as reducing the price, then a simple statement such as "please change the price for my Avocet ad from $500 to $300 OBO" is sufficient.

If there are multiple changes then please submit a new posting.

The Classified and Commercial boards will work pretty much like before. Users can submit ads for the appropriate board. Users should send an email when their ad should be removed, for example when your item has been sold. Classified ads will be deleted after two months. Commercial Ads will be deleted when appropriate, e.g., when the event has passed. If the event is cancelled then the user should send an email to cancel or change the ad.

The purpose of the Bulletin Board is to post upcoming ConnYak events and pick-up paddles. The posts will be deleted once the event has passed. The bulletin board is not intended for carrying on discussions. There are other forums suitable for that.

If you use the ConnYak Meetup page you can continue to use Meetup to post information on paddles, communicate with others, and to post photos.

How to Post a Message

Your post should be submitted in plain text exactly as you want it to appear. Your text will be cut-and-pasted into your post. Small typos or errors maybe caught by administrators but don't expect that all errors will be caught. Before submitting your post take the time to read it carefully.

The text of your email should clearly indicate the following:
BOARD: either BB, Classified or Commercial
YOUR NAME and EMAIL ADDRESS: (this is for admin use only, it will not be posted unless you include it in the body text
POSTER: The name you want to appear as the poster
SUBJECT LINE: The item or event name
TEXT: All the details of your post.

If you wish to include a picture you can send it as an attachment to your email or include a hyperlink. You can also include hyperlinks for email address and webpages.
