Guillemot Petrel

Guillemot Petrel 17' x 20", weight 43 lb., built in 2010 from Nick Schade's design using western red cedar, Alaskan white cedar and poplar strips. The hull is stained phlatho blue.
The boat has a recessed coaming, Maroske fittings, a control-rod actuated cable skeg and carbon-kevlar reinforced cockpit.
The cockpit currently has a foam seat and back pillar -- backband included should you wish to reinstall it.

Nick Schade, the boat's designer, describes it as "a responsive, light-weight boat suitable for day trips in rough water (and) equally at home poking into sheltered estuaries or exploring the shore of isolated coves."

This was my day/play boat, which I paddled when I was learning to surf.
I went on to build other boats, so it has hung in my garage the past six years, occasionally used as my "guest boat", stable enough to reassure total beginners.

Long and thin, it carried good speed in all conditions and was easy for me to roll.

In very good condition with only cosmetic scratches.
Stored inside (away from damaging sunshine UV).
Washed after every outing (salt water in Long Island Sound).

It comes with a neoprene spray deck and a paddle (and my used PFD) if you want it.
Close to $3000 new, it's yours for $1000. Cash Only.
