Open Pool Sessions
These sessions cost $15, $10 if you are a New Haven resident. Bring your own boat and practice your skills and have some fun, but please wash it inside and out before you come.
If you need to rent equipment the cost is $15 for a river boat, paddle and skirt. Sea kayaks are available for slightly more depending on the kayak requested.
If instruction is requested, we have several certified kayak and canoe instructors on staff to meet your needs. Lesson are $75 private or $40 each semi private per hour.

From Route 95
Note that exit #47 North bound on I 95 is a left lane exit. Take exit # 47 (Downtown New Haven - Route 34) onto expressway. Take last exit on expressway (#3). Continue straight on the 34 connector (Legion Ave.) for .7 miles. Take a right onto Sherman Ave. Stay on Sherman Ave. which turns into Sherman Parkway for .9 miles. James Hillhouse High School is on left.
From Route 91 South
Take exit #1 (Downtown New Haven - Route 34) onto expressway. Take last exit on expressway (#3). Continue straight on the 34 connector (Legion Ave.) for .7 miles. Take a right onto Sherman Ave. Stay on Sherman Ave. which turns into Sherman Parkway for .9 miles. James Hillhouse High School is on left.
From Route 15 (Wilber Cross Pkwy) Take exit 59. Turn right onto Whalley Avenue (continue towards New Haven apx. 2.5 miles). Take left onto Sherman Parkway (a large Exxon is after the intersection on right). Continue straight for .3 miles. James Hillhouse High School is on left.
