ConnYak needs volunteers to continue as a club

ConnYak has seen a large drop in members participating in ConnYak paddles and other activities. The club has few active volunteers and is being operated by one (elected) board member, its President, and one volunteer, who together manage its planning, social media, accounting and membership functions.

ConnYak cannot continue in its present form without an increase in volunteers, activities and member participation.

The club will stop collecting dues for 2022 and 2023. ConnYak has sufficient funds to maintain its social media for the foreseeable future.

The club will for the time being offer its activities to the paddling public on a pickup basis only. Click on the Trip Ratings menu link for your responsibilities when you participate or post a pickup paddle or event. The current pool sessions are a pickup event.

We are hoping that 2023 will see a renewal of the volunteer spirit that energized the club for over a quarter century, and with it, more participation by area sea kayakers.
